Frequently Asked Questions
When is it too late to make my order?
All orders made on or before November 15 should arrive at Canadian and American addresses by the start of December. (If you live in another country, you may be somewhat at the mercy of your local customs office.) We will still accept orders after November 15, too, with the caveat that we cannot guarantee delivery in time for the calendar's kickoff.
When do orders ship?
Calendars start to leave the printer in late October, and in regular shipments thereafter.
Can you ship outside of Canada and the U.S.?
Yes. This year we are also happy to accept orders from Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Choose the appropriate country at checkout.
But wait: Who's in this thing, anyway?
Only some of the best short story writers on the continent, including Anakana Schofield, Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket), Sheila Heti, Charles Demers, Katie Coyle, and [redacted x 19].
Do the stories have anything to do with Christmas?
By and large, no. But you never know what slipped through the cracks when we weren't looking.
Are they religious?
Not in the way you're thinking.
Are they for children?
Again, no. Consider them PG-13, for the most part.
If I cheat and peek inside the stories, will anyone know?
Yes. I will. Were you raised in a barn?
Will you do this again next year?
Third time's a charm.
Can I tell all my friends about the calendar?
Oh, if you insist.
